Let’s be honest: it’s bloody difficult doing this work at the moment. I’ve spent a lot of time facing a variety of different shitstorms over the years, but this is something else.
Which means a lot of conversations with friends and colleagues about personal resilience (what do we need to do to nurture our own inner resources) and collective resilience – how best can we support each other?
It is, after all, one of the greatest gifts we have that we get to spend much of our working lives with such astonishing, thoughtful and compassionate people.
We all have our own ways of doing this resilience work. Amongst other things, for instance, I’m an inveterate tree-hugger! But from time to time, I like to step back completely, slow it all down, re-focus.
Which is why I’m so excited to have the dates of July 1st – 3rd in the diary to do exactly that!
Together with two wonderful colleagues (Chloe Revill and Andy Raingold of Change in Nature), we’re hosting the Change Collective at Sheepdrove Organic Farm in Berkshire – itself a very special place.

And if it works for you, in the midst of this particular shitstorm, then seize the moment!
