And still the genocide in Gaza goes on. After cutting off all aid into the territory (“weaponising starvation”), and refusing to implement the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, Israel is now cutting off all remaining electricity supplies to increase pressure on Hamas, which would cause the closure of the only two desalination plants still operating.
And still the same silence from Keir Starmer and David Lammy, unequivocally confirming their moral status as genocide-deniers.

For a long time, I’ve been in no doubt that Israel’s war in Gaza constitutes a genocide, and that its new offensive in the West Bank is part of the same drive to destroy the people of Palestine – even to the point of ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
As an environmentalist, I’m also devastated by the impact of the war on Gaza’s land, water and agriculture. This represents the most appalling act of ecocide, and it will take many decades to heal the wounds so cruelly and calculatingly inflicted on Gaza’s environment.
It will also take massive global pressure to persuade governments to put an end to this through a permanent ceasefire and to commit to a huge increase in aid to rebuild Gaza.
